Caustic 3 is a music creation tool inspired by rack-mount synthesizers / samplers rigs.
Everything is real-time and optimized for mobile devices.

Create your rack by adding up to 14 machines from a choice of:
* Subsynth - Virtual analog subtractive synthesizer
* PCMSynth - Multi-sample wave synthesizer
* BassLine - 303-like monosynth
* BeatBox - 8-channel sampling drum machine
* PadSynth - Harmonic table pad synthesizer
* 8BitSynth - 8bit equation solver synthesizer
* Modular - Fully configurable and routable synthesizer
* Organ - Hammond-like tonewheel organ with rotary speaker
* Vocoder - 8-band harmonic vocoder
* FMSynth - DX-style 3-operator fm synthesizer
* KSSynth - Karplus-Strong string modeling synth
* SawSynth - Supersaw-type polysynth (new!)

The app also includes:
* Effects rack supporting 2 effects per machine. (20 effect types)
* Mixer desk with global Delay/Reverb effects
* Master section with parametric EQ and limiter
* Song sequencer

Supports automation on most controls and includes powerful editors for modifying recorded automation curves.

All files are stored on the user-accessible storage, and users can supply their own WAV files for use in the PCMSynth, BeatBox, and Vocoder.
Supports all uncompressed WAV files (8-16-24-32bit, any sampling rate).
The PCMSynth can also load SoundFont files (.sf2), SFZ and FL Studio mobile instruments (.instr, .ZIP)

Class-compliant USB MIDI controllers can be connected via USB OTG cable on devices running at least Android 3.2 and supporting USB host mode.

See the in-app help section for tutorial videos and full online manual.

This is a demo version of Caustic. There is no time limit in demo mode but save/export are disabled. The app will automatically save your current song between sessions.

Unlock the full version buy purchasing the "Caustic Unlock Key" (sold separate). The full version enables song saving as well as exporting to WAV, Ogg and MIDI.

There is also a FREE (full version) PC version available for download on the product website.
Come visit to download more presets, share your tracks and hear what others are creating with Caustic.

Never Had An App Like This!
This app is preety awesome! It was really confusing for me at first but once you get the hang of it, you can really make some decent stuff on here! Never had an app this cool/useful for a phone. I've had for about a week so far and made my first song on it today! Go check it out! Its on my SoundCloud. Alejandro Calderon 23- Carry Our Cross. Awesome little app. Would recommend to a friend!

Best daw for android.
It's not just ''another daw'', it's portable Reason! Wow, really love rack-style, fast replace, adding new instruments and swithcing between sequencer and other parts of program. Never glitched since last year, very comfortable thing. Modular synth? Oh, wow, best feature forever, wow. Only positive emotions, love this software, do it like that! Say no to shitty things, oldschool rule! Acid, 303, viva la techno!

Trance enthusiast...
I know my way around a synth and the ones available are brilliant. The sound quality of the filters are fantastic and don't sound cheap at all! I have used Fruityloops for years and needed a mobile daw and I chose this over F/L. The user reviews are bang on and within minutes I set up the drum rack, created a Trance bass, got it squelching like a boss then knocked in pads and a melody to carry a Trance beat for starters. The options are incredibly made. The control is incredible. Worth way more than it is!

Great App Great support
I really like this App and think it works great, even with my big fingers on the small screen. When I upgraded my phone google play store seemed to no longer recognise I had purchased an unlock key. Rej at Caustic support was right on it and sorted everything, it wasn't even their issue. Its up and working again and caustic sounds great. It really works well on the new HTC m9. Good work guys.

So far loving it!
May I suggest a way to upload tracks to SoundCloud, since they seem to refuse to let us upload from their app. I'm looking forward to working with caustic over the next couple/several years and releases. I love the vast library of sounds and effects, and the ability to morph and mutilate any sound into your own sound. A++!

No good on lg spirit
There is latency. Also, won't play chords properly, if you hit a bunch of keys simultaneously, it arpeggios them in a key order decided by the program itself. Probably great for manual composition, but no good for live recording. Seems to have great sounds but if live recording is not do-able, then for me it's useless.

Low memory consumption, amazing way to compose on tablet, never crashes, no ads, slick interface, thousands of options. Class. Now doing full orchestral arrangements with it. Unlimited wav sample length in the pcmsynth and we'd be at legendary levels of brilliance

Best Music Creation App on the market by a mile
Well built! I highly recommend this to any music head looking to use something as advance as this on the move to create ideas! A suggestion, please could you maybe implement effects directly into the instruments to create quality presets in a future update? I know it has effects outside, but its nice to create presets with effects direct in them such as reverb, delay fx, filter, eq more ?

Caustic is what I and countless other musicians were looking for. This is the best app for music making, hands down.

♥ best thing on my phone!!!
I used the demo for 4 seconds, then bought the full version... It's that awesome! Wonderful range of features and functionality. This app could make you feel less attached to the DAW on your PC....... The best thing about it the ability to import and export samples and mp3s.... Definitely worth the few bucks it costs

This is an app that has successfully blown my mind. I'm able to make some pretty decent music with excellent quality on a not-very-good specs phone, such as mine. Caustic is basically a more user-friendly, and better looking fl studio. Kudos to the dev team for allowing me to realise my dream to compose music! P.s. it would be fantastic if there was mp3 exporting.
